The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh (CI) is planning to have a series of community events during summer where they take mobile SSPPs (Soft Sensory Play Pods) designed for all children of different abilities to not only encourage playfulness and togetherness but give the community the opportunity to learn about inclusive design. The Pods will be available for summer camps and community events. The architectural character of the pods should draw the public in and should reflect values of the Children’s Institute and inclusive design. The pods are intended to be fully mobile/transportable units.
